      java version "1.4.0-beta"

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-beta-b65, mixed mode)

Somebody changed the way JTabbedPane looks. The borders are dark gray instead
of white and they have a ridge-like appearance instead of a raised appearance.
Also, the active tab has a thick line appearing under the tab's name. This is
quite ugly. Please change all of this back to what it looked like under JDK
      1.3.1 and prior.

JTabbedPane now seems to have a different border specified. Was this
an intended L&F change? If so, the border seems inconsistent for the part
of the border just below/above the tab (depending on top vs. bottom tab
placement). It contrasts the pane border when on top, and copies the
pane border when aligned on the bottom. Previously, there was no
border visible on the selected tab, so it looked like the tab was part of the
selected pane. Now the connection isn't so clear since there is a border
between the selected tab and the pane.
