Most of the Javascript enabled tests when invoked on any of the browsers mentioned above seem to hang or freeze the system at some point of time.

I have not been able to go thru' one complete cycle successfully.
Have tried this on 3 different Win98 2nd edition machines.
( Have see these tests go thru' on XP/2000 with no problem).

1) Install browser
2) Install JRE
3) Invoke Browser and go to URL
  http://sqesvr/deployment2/vmanda/NEW_WS/DTF-Workspace/workspace/ATF/javascripts/functional/MimeTypes.html

This script is triggered by javascript which in turn loads each test case
on a new browser window, waits for a certain delay and then loads the next
test case.
I have made atleast around 10 attempts trying to run it.
It would hang at different points (no pattern).

I could run individual applets like 2D or Swing without any problem but after loading a couple of more applet pages , it would hang (randomly).

face the same problem.


NOTE: I have turned off Active Desktop on all the machines
      

We used ATF (Automated Test framework) to run thru' all these tests.
But I have not been able to finish even one complete cycle of these tests
on any browser.

It is more prominent on IE5/NS6.1
(attached is trace file set to 5, with Ie browser).
