1.NS6.x should be installed on the machine
2.Install j2re.exe or j2re-i.exe on the Win98/WinME machine
3.When installer is trying to copy plugin
following error message is being displayed

4. This bug was there on Merlin-Beta2 and was fixed later,it is occuring again now
5. I verified for Win98 and WinME , Installer is unable to copy NPJava*.dll or NPOJI*.dll files in Netscape6/plugins directory
6. Important thing to note is This Error message cannot be seen on Windows 2000 and Windows XP Professional
7. In Win2K and WinXP , I verified that Installer copies only NPOJI610.dll no NPJava* dll files gets copied to plugin directory


*This bug is actually duplicate of 4492927(build 75 and build 76) which was FIXED earlier

- This bug occurs with JRE only , JDK installation does not get any error message, Verified on Win98 and WinME
- I checked with older build 80,81,82 on Win 98 and Win ME
 and this problem can not be reproduced
- Because of the bug No plugin Basic Accceptance test could be run and Netscape 6.x prompts user for downloading plugin from the website defeating functionality of the JRE installed , See Snapshot http://javasoft4.india/Java_Install/bugs/images/plugin_error.gif

probably due to this when trying to set installed JRE as default Runtime environment for Netscape 6 a warning message comes (Filing a separate bug for this )

verified in JDK build 84 , Error message does not appear any more
(Verified with both J2re-i.exe and j2re.exe )
but JDK/JRE is still not copying NPJava*.dll into plugin directory for Netscape6
Bug 4516167 & 4518583 has already been filed for this
