We should upgrade our installers to ishield 7.0 to take advantage of the windows installer service. By creating a basic msi, we can save the user download time for a few reasons:
-not using ishield script engine
-new compression engine in 7.0
-install-on-demand technology, user doesn't have to download everything. They can just download the jre-core. If they later need additional components, our product can trigger the auto-download/install.
There are also lots of other features that the windows installer provides that we can benefit from. Ishield 7.0 allows the user to gain elevated priveledge if they are not Adminstrator. This works under certain conditions that the administrator can enable/disable.
