While conducting installation tests for 1.3.1_04 build 2 I had installed j2sdk1.4.0_01 build 3 on to a Windows NT, 95 machines and then installed j2sdk1.3.1_04 build2. The jre failed to install in Program Files/javasoft/jre for 1.3.1_04 and there were no entries for it in the registry keys. When I installed j2re1.3.1_04 it did so correctly without problems.

I used the re-bundled jdk and jre
the bundle names and sizes are listed below:
