While conducting Clean install tests on jdk1.3.1_05 the following occurred:
A requirement of the tests is to install the jdk in a non-default location, for example C:\karen\jdk1.3.1_05
 When this was done however applets could not be loaded in a browser. The following error message appeared:
Java Plugin 1.4 Fatal Error, The JRE cannot be loaded from <\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll>

It was tested on Windows 2000 and Windows NT and using both Netscape and IE
I also checked out 1.3.1_04 and it did not occur in that release.
