      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
      java -1.4.1

      also the websites constant prompting to get the above string correct, undermines
      the request for feedback.

      FULL OPERATING SYSTEM VERSION : Windows 2000 5.000.2195. sp3
      and 3 other various 2000 versions


      A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
      EAch time i have attempted to install the java 1.4.1 version
      it does not adiquatly warn against or detect an open
      browser. It appears the during the installing if netscape 7
      is open the install forever freezes trying to configure
      java. There should be warning to shut the browser down, or a
      prompt to do it for the client.

      STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
      1.Open a browser
      2.run the installation of j2re-1_4_1-windows-i586.exe
      3. run through install

      EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
      the program should warn if the browser is going to freeze
      the installation

      REPRODUCIBILITY :
      This bug can be reproduced always.

      CUSTOMER WORKAROUND :
      close the browser at any point during the installation
