      Platform: Windows 32-bit
      Build : J2SE 1.4.2 Mantis b-08
      Bundle: j2sdk.exe, j2re.exe (full & web bundles)
      Location : /java/re/jdk/1.4.2/promoted/beta/b08/bundles/windows-i586
Test case: Silent install test cases
reproduced in : Win XP-Pro, Windows 2000 Pro

Synopsis: Silent uninstall automatically reboots the system

      STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
      1. Install the j2re.exe(or j2sdk.exe) on a clean machine.

      2. Run Plugin demos with IE & Netscape 7 or run application demos

      3. Silently uninstall JRE when there are locked files present.
This can be done by uninstalling when the browser is running or application demos are running.

The following arguments can be used for silent uninstall.

      j2re-1_4_2-beta-windows-i586.exe /s /v"/qn" /x

      4. Now since there are locked files present, the installer forces the
system to reboot automatically. It does not give a warning to the user. It kills all the running applications.

This problem is also found with the SDK bundle.
