Note: Similar bug was filed in previous releases and was verified in Mantis-beta, please refer to bugID 4787629 for that...
To reproduce:
Silent uninstall:
1. Install the J2RE.exe or J2SDK.exe (mantis-rc release).
2. Go to control panel and bring up the Java plugin control panel.
3. In the command prompt, type J2RE.exe or J2SDK.exe append with /s /v" /qn" /x to uninstall the bundle.
4. Now since there are locked files present, the system auto reboot without asking.
Normal uninstallation:
1. Perform installation with the J2RE.exe or J2SDK.exe.
2. Go to control panel and bring up the Java plugin control panel.
3. Go to add and remove program in the control panel, and uninstall the J2RE.exe or J2SDK.exe bundle.
4. A warning dialog box will bring up and warn the user to close the related file. If the user choose the ignore option and proceed the uninstallation the system will reboot itself the after uninstallation, this is an unexpected behavior.
