Problem Description : The installation fails the very first time with the error " Error applying transformations. " Subsequent installs work fine. This is with
the J2RE.
Tested_Java_Release : Mantis 1.4.2 (Build 18)
Tested_Build : J2SDK / J2re
Tested_Build_Location : /net/sqesvr/deployment3/mantis/MB18/windows-i586
Tested_Machine_Name : Win2003 EE
Architecture : 32 bit & 64 bit
Steps to Reproduce :
1.) Install the j2re.exe on any Win2003 EE "FRESH INSTALL" machine
Result : The installation fails the very first time with the error " Error applying transformations. " Subsequent installs work fine
2.) Install J2SDK on any 32bit Win2003 EE "FRESH INSTALL" machine
3.) Hit Cancel button during installation
Result : " Error applying transformations " dialog box pops up
