I am showing a frame with a text area. TextArea contains 20 lines of text and hence the vertical scrollbar appear. When I click the down / up arrow on the vertical scrollbar or left/right arrow on the horizontal scrollbar I expect the text to scroll by Unit Increment value. But clicking those arrows scrolls the text by blocks as if I have clicked the track of the scroll bar (simulates page-up/down functionality). There is no way to get unit increment work apart from dragging the thumb slowly. This is incorrect. Clicking on the arrows should scroll the text by unit increment and not block increment.
This is occuring only with XToolkit on solaris / linux. This is not reproducible on Motif / Win32. This is reproducible since Tiger. (Tiger release is not shown in the product release list. So I have given the release as 1.5.0_01 in the SR).
I have attached a sample test. Execute the sample test. You would see a frame with a textarea. Enter some 10/15 lines of lengthy text so that the scrollbars appear. Click the left/right/up/down arrows. If the page-up/page-down functionality is simulated, the bug is reproduced.
