FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.5.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0-b64)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0-b64, mixed mode)
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Java Web Start currently asks the user if he or she wants to set MIME type and file associations for any JWS application which contains associations.
This dialog should only show up for untrusted (unsigned) applications; if the user trusts the application, it has full access to the underlying OS, and could set these associations itself, without ever asking the user.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
