On NT4, double-clicking a TrayIcon does not notify the action listener. Save the attached files, trayicon.gif and TrayIconTest.java. Compile and run on NT4. The tray icon appears. Double-click on it and you'll see indication of mouse events printed to the console, but you won't get the actionPerformed.
