window bundles for Oracle ER do not install properly.

Location of bundles => /java/re/jdk/1.5.0_08/promoted/erdist/20060816/bundles

System: x86-winxppro (sp2) with IE6.0 as default browser.

If you install using jdk-p.exe the install proceeds as normal but towards the end it finishes saying the install was interrupted, no modification was done to your system. At no point while running jdk-p.exe are you offered jre installation. Also, jdk appears in add/remove programs. jdk directory is created, jre directory is not created.

If you install using jre-p.exe the install proceeds as normal but towards the end if finishes saying the install was interrupted, no modification was done to your system. jre directory is created but jre is not registered with browser. There is no java icon in the control panel (in this case there was only 1.3.1_19 on the system to begin with). So I would have expected a java icon for 5.0 to have been created.

How to reproduce? Run either jdk-p.exe or jre-p.exe from above mentioned bundle location on any x86-winxppro or x86-winxphome system.

Making this a P1. These bundles are for ER for Oracle and we need this resolved immediately so we can begin QA on these bundles.
