x64 Ubuntu: Can't install 32-bit bundle

Can not install 32-bit bundle on x64 Ubuntu machine (64-bit bunlde installed fine on the same machine)

Tested jre: 6u14-b04/ jre-6u14-ea-linux-i586.bin
       OS: x64 Ubuntu 8.10 (details at the bottom)


Steps to reproduce:
------------------
1) On x64 Ubuntu 8.10 machine, try to install 32-bit 6u14-b04
/java/re/jdk/6u14/promoted/all/b04/bundles/linux-i586/jre-6u14-ea-linux-i586.bin

2) If you fail to install then the problem is reproducible
