A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The problem occurs when i update Java 6u14 to Java 6u15 through the Taskbar icon or through Java Control Panel's update tab.
After the update finishes, the Desktop- and StartMenu-Shortcuts disappear.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
- Deinstalling all Java6 Versions.
- Installing Java6u14
- Installing Webstart App
- Updating to Java6u15 through the Taskbar icon or through Java Control Panel's update tab.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Shortcuts should keep remained in the Desktop and in the StartMenu after updating Java.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Reinstalling the Shortcuts though Java Control Panel

The above release value was the last known release where this
bug was not reproducible. Since then there has been a regression.
