JDK-2220351 | 8 | Chris Gruszka | P2 | Closed | Fixed | b30 |
See the attached PNG images "jre6u27.png:" and "jre7.png"
They are snapshots from the Windows 7 installer User Account Control dialog
asking the user if they want to install the JRE for 6u27 b07 and JRE 7 b147
6u27 says the program name is "Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6.0 Update 27"
The JRE 7 one says its "wrapper.exe". That could easily put off users ..
This started happening in b139
At the same time (b139), the same dialog reports the Publisher
changing from Sun (b138) to Oracle (b139).
Could this be related to the b139 fix :
6953921: Open File-Security Warning contains "Sun" as a publisher, but "Oracle" is the publisher after install
