Run the regression test java/awt/Dialog/ModalZOrder/ModalZOrder.java several times. For me, more often than not it fails, and for good reason: the modal dialog is obscured by a Frame. It still has keyboard focus and its decorations are bright (you may see it if you are fast enough to move the obscuring Frame) but z-order is wrong.
My count is some 3 times out of 5 it fails.
I could not fail it on Apple JDK 6.
