Run the attached test with just about any build of JDK7, 8 or 9 on Ubuntu 13.10 (Unity) (Unity still is default there). It will try to display a Dialog setting its location relative to a Component and fail in some cases, quite uncertainly, putting the Dialog higher or lower than Component's median line (sometimes in correct place also). It doesn't seem to be a test issue. The test runs OK on Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity and Xfce), on Gnome in OEL 6.4 etc. -- so it may be an Ubuntu 13.10 system-specific issue.

Even if it is a Java issue it cannot be a regression as it is manifested under latest Ubuntu release only which is newer than jdk7.
