Write Script to auto-generate the new repository layout

Before we can use a new build system, we need to be able to test & demonstrate the new system. Also, we need to be able to cut-over from the old to the new system in a matter of hours so as to disrupt the team as little as possible. We should therefore have a script which will auto-generate the new repository layout by copying files from the current repos into a new one.
