The IPS package does not include the Oracle Java License. This approach was based on the Oracle Policy of asking users at download time. For IPS packages that come with Solaris 11 there is a license agreement when the ISO is obtained. Engineering cannot determine if this is acceptable.


Later IPS Solaris 11 package revisions, may be placed on external websites and be available using the IPS repoistories. IPS will not have a download license in this case either.


IPS can support various license and certificate options that would require uysers to agree to terms and or use trusted credentials that imply terms were agreeed to earlier.
