Users can obtain java in various forms, media , api interfaces and cli access. Each of these access methods must comply with the Oracle Java License requirements. The open issues are described in the attachment.
If the outcome of the License discussion is to change the Solaris IPS install model then we have no work to do. Other outcomes cannot be estiamted.

What is the IPS install model? You as the installer taking repsonsibility for the install and susbsequent use by others have previously agreed to all terms and conditions and the install can proceed with no user interaction. Our current approach is breaking every automated install in Solaris.
